Meet Thea

// Notes from the wings
  • 165 cm, curvy, outdoors more often than not
  • Caramel blonde, worn long, with green eyes
  • Late twenties, fluent easy English, no performance to her
  • Ramen taken seriously, hill walking, cycling in all weather
  • South Kensington home, back from the hills on the 22nd

Walking boots live by her door, and they are not decorative. Thea is 165 cm and curvy, with caramel blonde hair worn long and green eyes that are the first thing anybody mentions afterwards. Late twenties. She dresses simply and warmly: a good knit, a long coat, nothing that needs thinking about halfway through an evening, and a face that has clearly been outdoors recently because it usually has. She is currently somewhere hilly with no signal, which happens several times a year.

Cheerful is accurate and down to earth is what people actually value. There is no performance to her and no carefully held pose, and she will say honestly if the day has been a long one. Her English is fluent and easy. Japanese food is the genuine enthusiasm, ramen especially and argued about seriously. Hiking is where the holidays go, boots and a paper map rather than anything organised. Cycling is how she crosses London, in all weather, with an entirely unreasonable cheerfulness about rain.

Her Holborn evening is deliberately unglamorous and all the better for it. The ramen counter on St Giles High Street, ten stools and a queue that moves fast, is her idea of a proper start, and she will happily order for the pair of you given half a chance. Afterwards it is a short walk to somewhere with a decent list for a glass, and she is very good at making a Tuesday feel like it was worth getting dressed for.

South Kensington is home, and Holborn suppers restart on the 22nd when she is back. Put a date after that to booking and it will be waiting for her, boots by the door and all.

Her home stage is South Kensington, and she travels from there to the venues this house covers. Her full listing sits with the rest of the company on the companions page.

What an evening costs

She is walking in the hills until the 22nd and the first suppers after that are being pencilled in now. Ninety minutes at £400 covers the counter and a glass afterwards, or three hours at £700 for something longer. A message now keeps one of those first evenings back for you.

Each length on the ladder, the travel rule and the terms for a change of plan are set out line by line on the rates page, and the wording to send sits on the booking page.

04 Scene

An evening with Thea

Half past seven at the counter, shoulder to shoulder with strangers, and she will have ordered before you have finished reading the board. She eats properly and without apology, talks with her chopsticks in the air, and asks what you did today in a way that suggests she actually wants the details rather than a summary.

Afterwards is a walk and a glass somewhere quieter, usually with her coat still on for the first ten minutes. She is easy company on a cold night and she notices when somebody is tired rather than bored. If the evening wants to be short she will not take it personally, and if it wants to be long she will happily talk until the staff start stacking things.

// Asked backstage

Thea, in her words

Somewhere with hills, rain and a pub at the bottom of the valley. I come back muddy, tired and in a thoroughly good mood.

Absolutely. You cannot be pretentious on a stool, and by the end of it we have either got on or we have not.

Every day, and I am smug about it. There is no bad weather, only people who have not bought the right coat yet.

Thea, in the book

Thea is away from the board until 22 September 2026. Hiking week, easy suppers again from the 22nd Ask us who is carrying a pass tonight and we will name three who suit the same evening.

// Nothing pinned here yet

No moderated note has been left for Thea on this site so far. We publish first names, the month and the words themselves, we never invent a line, and we never print anything a companion would rather keep private. When guests do write in, their notes appear here exactly as they arrived.
