Meet Tiffany

// Notes from the wings
  • 169 cm, finely built, light on her feet
  • Long chocolate brown hair, attentive brown eyes
  • Early twenties, fluent precise English
  • Photographs details rather than places, champagne, hotel lobbies
  • Lives in Soho, midweek evenings are the emptiest

She notices the small things first and mentions them three hours later, which is either charming or unnerving depending on what you were doing at the time. Tiffany is 169 cm, finely built and light on her feet, her chocolate brown hair long, her brown eyes staying on a thing until they are finished with it. Early twenties. She dresses in textures rather than statements: a sequinned sleeve, a heavy silk, something that catches light as she moves, and shoes that were chosen after the dress rather than before it.

Graceful is the surface quality and playful is what arrives once she is comfortable. She teases lightly and takes teasing back without a flicker. Her English is fluent and precise. Street photography is the real habit, though hers is all detail: hands, reflections, the corner of a sign. Champagne is the honest weakness. Design hotels are the professional curiosity, and she can tell within a minute of entering a lobby whether anybody thought properly about the lighting.

Her Covent Garden evening happens under glass. The atrium at NoMad on Bow Street, across from the old magistrates' court, is three storeys of plants and light with a bar at the bottom of it, and she considers it the best room in the district for a slow start. Afterwards she likes Floral Court, the quiet courtyard most people walk past, and then whichever table in Seven Dials is still taking orders.

Soho is home, ten minutes on foot from Covent Garden, and midweek is when her diary has the most room in it. Ask booking for a Tuesday or a Wednesday and she will almost certainly be free.

Her home stage is Soho, and she travels from there to the venues this house covers. Her full listing sits with the rest of the company on the companions page.

What an evening costs

Midweek is where her diary has space, and she likes an evening with a slow start built into it. Ninety minutes at £400 covers the atrium and a glass, while three hours at £700 carries it through dinner as well. One confirmed message books it in, and she will have chosen the table before it clears.

Each length on the ladder, the travel rule and the terms for a change of plan are set out line by line on the rates page, and the wording to send sits on the booking page.

04 Scene

An evening with Tiffany

Eight o'clock under the glass, where the plants go up three floors and the noise stays surprisingly low for a hotel bar. She will have looked at the room before she looks at the menu, and she will tell you something about how it was put together that you would never have noticed on your own.

The champagne is not a pose, it is simply what she wants, and she drinks it slowly enough to make an hour pass without anybody checking a phone. Later the courtyard is empty and lit, and she will stop under the archway to photograph something small and specific. Dinner after that is unhurried, close by, and chosen because she liked the look of the doorway.

// Asked backstage

Tiffany, in her words

Hands, mostly, and reflections in glass. People photograph the whole building and miss the one detail somebody agonised over for months.

Not always, but often enough to be predictable about it. It is the only drink that improves an ordinary Tuesday quite so efficiently.

I change my mind about once a month. At the moment it is anywhere with a glass roof and somebody who understood exactly where to put the lamps.

Tiffany, in the book

Tiffany is on call today. Midweek is where her diary has the most room Message the desk and we will confirm the hour before anything is held.

// Nothing pinned here yet

No moderated note has been left for Tiffany on this site so far. We publish first names, the month and the words themselves, we never invent a line, and we never print anything a companion would rather keep private. When guests do write in, their notes appear here exactly as they arrived.
