Meet Luna

// Notes from the wings
  • 171 cm, curvy, dresses with deliberate weight
  • Long dark auburn red hair, direct brown eyes
  • Early twenties, fluent and direct English
  • Wine tasted properly, photography, her own theatre tickets
  • Mayfair home, Monday to Thursday evenings

Red hair, a river view and a cold glass: that is Luna's idea of a correct beginning. At 171 cm she is curvy and dresses boldly rather than safely, with dark auburn hair worn long and deliberately undone. Her brown eyes are direct enough to make the first sixty seconds genuinely interesting. Early twenties, she chooses clothes with weight to them, a satin dress that moves properly, a heavy coat, and heels she will swap the instant an evening turns into walking rather than sitting.

Bold is the obvious quality, and independence is the one that shapes an evening. She has her own views about where to go and states them plainly, though never at the expense of yours. Her English is fluent and direct. Wine is the serious interest, tasted properly rather than hoarded. Photography is what her hands do when there is nothing else for them. Theatre is what she books for herself on the nights when nobody else is free, and she prefers it that way.

Her Strand evening goes upwards first. The rooftop at ME London, eight floors above the curve of the Aldwych, hands you the whole river at once, and she times the booking for the light coming off the water rather than for the view of the traffic. One drink up there, then down to street level for dinner somewhere with a proper list, which she reads front to back before ordering the second cheapest bottle entirely on purpose.

Mayfair is home, and Monday to Thursday belong to work, which makes Strand and Aldwych an easy eight o'clock for her. Ask booking which of those four nights is still open and you will be told straight away.

Her home stage is Mayfair, and she travels from there to the venues this house covers. Her full listing sits with the rest of the company on the companions page.

What an evening costs

Monday through Thursday is when she works, and eight o'clock is her hour. Two hours at £500 is the rooftop and dinner below it, while three at £700 adds the river walk afterwards. Write a day ahead if you can, since the table upstairs fills early whenever the weather behaves.

Each length on the ladder, the travel rule and the terms for a change of plan are set out line by line on the rates page, and the wording to send sits on the booking page.

04 Scene

An evening with Luna

Eight o'clock, eight floors up, and she will have chosen the side of the terrace that faces the water rather than the street. The first drink goes mostly on watching the light leave, which she considers good manners rather than rudeness, and then she turns round and gives you everything she has got for the rest of the evening.

Dinner is where she properly relaxes. She reads the list end to end, asks the waiter exactly one real question, and orders without any ceremony whatsoever. Afterwards she likes the river path with her phone out, photographing things nobody else would think to frame. If the night carries on it tends to finish somewhere with low light, a short list and no music worth listening to.

// Asked backstage

Luna, in her words

Absolutely not. I will order, you will drink it, and if you hate the bottle we send it back and start the whole thing again.

Reflections, mostly, and the backs of buildings. Anything the city put up without imagining that anybody would ever bother looking at it.

Weekends are mine. I go to the theatre on my own, which remains the most civilised thing I do all week.

Luna, in the book

Luna is on call today. Monday to Thursday evenings, from eight Message the desk and we will confirm the hour before anything is held.

// Nothing pinned here yet

No moderated note has been left for Luna on this site so far. We publish first names, the month and the words themselves, we never invent a line, and we never print anything a companion would rather keep private. When guests do write in, their notes appear here exactly as they arrived.
